Banbury Park Lifestyle Village

The Banbury Park Lifestyle Village in Halswell, Christchurch, is an ambitious greenfield development by Qestral Corporation Ltd, set to transform the area into a thriving aged care and residential community. Kensway is providing project management and quantity surveying services for this extensive development.

The low-lying site required substantial groundwork, including raising the land to meet floodplain recessions as stipulated by the town plan. The ground was converted from TC3 to modified TC2 land, a process that involved extensive civil works, demolition of existing buildings, and tree felling. New roads, such as Colliers and Te Repo, were constructed to enhance accessibility and integrate with the existing Council town plan, including cycleways and Sparks Road.

The project required early and ongoing consultation with neighbours to minimise disruptions from truck movements. The development also involved extensive master planning to ensure the design catered to current market conditions, particularly in terms of housing typologies.

Banbury Park will feature:
