BMW Dealership, Wairau Valley

The BMW project provided a much needed, larger facility for BMW. The project comprises of a showroom, delivery bays and workshop. A second-hand car sales area was added, along with future proofing for a new Mini dealership on the same site.

The building was a complex design, built over three levels on a sloping site. Despite being on a large site, the building layout and pavements were such that unless carefully planned, the contractor could quickly “work himself into a corner”, thus delaying other critical parts of the work.

A carefully thought out programme and weekly meetings allowed work to progress seamlessly despite numerous challenges stemming from significant design and logistical complexities.
