Marine Hall Memorial Park

This project transforms a historical Titahi Bay site into a vibrant public park, blending heritage with community values. Kensway led the project as Engineer to Contract and provided comprehensive project management, ensuring seamless coordination from concept to completion. After the WWII-era hall, built by American Marines, was demolished due to seismic concerns, Kensway worked closely with Council who led engagement with local community and iwi to incorporate their cultural input. Their designs feature prominently in the park’s graphics on seating and po. A portal structure was also created to reflect the original hall's size and position.
